The Foundation has received, since its proclamation until to date (1989-2005) a huge number of letters regarding its efforts. Monitoring its procession have been hundreds of journalistic articles and academic researches inside and outside the Arab world. They were not all praising as some contained precious advice and opposing opinions. The Foundation, while cherishing all opinions and gestures, opts to publish some commending expressions. "The awards, particularly if granted by enlightened men who compassionate with the literary creativity, are deemed encouraging and new initiative for us. We must encourage any person who thinks of allocating an award for the creative poetic, narrative or technical work provided that such creativity is based on eminent artistic values"
Excerpted from the letter of His Royal Highness Prince Charles, UK Crown Prince to the President of the Foundation
In the occasion of … Ibn Zaydoun Session …

It is my pleasure to extend my congratulations to the Foundation of Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Prize for Poetic Creativity for the trust and honor they accorded to our university. The sessions held in Cordoba embody the importance of our city and Andalusia culture to Europe and the Arab World through history.
The Foundation was so wise in taking the decision and the kind initiation of holding the ceremony of awarding the prizes in a foreign country in a contribution in the meetings that will start as from tomorrow and undoubtedly will enrich the Arab culture and Poetry.

"As for our friend Abdul Aziz- he sees that the value of money is reflected in distributing the good such as building institutions and schools, assisting needy sick people and culture development, since people lead doctrives in whatever they adore.
His literary award associated with a cultural program consisting of morning and evening seminars was among his deeds. These seminars witnessed the delivery of lectures by winners who enjoyed reputable status among literary circles, followed by comments similar to them in the cultural status; thereafter, discussions and deliberations by the audience were taking place."

Contemporary Arab poets
"I have received the poets Dictionary volumes issued by your flourishing cultural Foundation, which starts a lively guide for the contemporary Arab poetry as a witness for the achievement of services in the field of the Arab culture. The Dictionary will ever be, through its shining exclusions, associated with your name and an honourable sign on the Crown of the Arab cultural work crown."
Dr. Soad Mohammed Al Sabah
Kuwait - 28.1.1995
"The Dictionary included various in depth studies for each Arab country and a translation of its poetic status as well as the history of its poetic renaissance and the pioneers of this poetry. Were this Dictionary confined to gathering in the beginning and at last these distinguished studies only, it would have been sufficient advantage for it.
People who supervised the Dictionary have done well when they gave the poet the right to select the text and his/her biography. This approach represents a new objective way contradicting the familiar approach in Dictionarys and old biographies, which had been either volumes of classes or biographies.

The "Best" has always had the strongest influence in all fields, When this "Best" is true with himself, his society and nation, good and productivity multiply. At Al- Babtain's Foundation, the patron of this initiative gives much of his time so the outcome would be fruitful, genuine and emanating from the depths. It is an initiative which deserves admiration, praise and appreciation. Indeed, I consider Mr. Abdul Aziz Al-Babtain a man of magnanimity and generosity who deserves that we give him a share of our time and effort so that we contribute to the Arab culture, its advancement and prosperity."

The Foundation of Abdulaziz Al-Babtain prize and Sultan Al Oweis Foundation award are the only two Arab awards granted without pre-conditions. They are the two impartial prizes which are awarded only to genuine creative poets. There is no official interference, practiced by those responsible for these awards and the matter is left to arbitration committees which are comprised of senior Arab cultural personalities. I believe these two awards have superseded the official prizes where various political, technical or sectarian factors meddle in. No doubt, these prizes have been awarded to writers who were in need for supporting their positions as they are the representatives of Arab culture, besides the fact that the award forms a spiritual support as well"

"This prize represents a praiseworthy tendency which has been surfacing for years. This tendency is manifested in the contribution of a group of effective and cultured people who possess the wealth and desire to support culture and creativity.
Hence, we believe that the awards of Al- Oweis and Al Babatian with other awards deserve appreciation as they introduce new sponsors of culture, who do not practice stinginess in donating funds. Commendable in this process is the fact that these awards in general and Al-Babtain's in particular refer the mission of selection and review to the senior cultured personalities themselves consequently securing neutrality."

"Al-Babtain Contemporary Arab Poets Dictionary is an achievement within a project. The researcher may tackle it as a reference on the library shelves or deal with it as an encyclopedia similar to its counterpart documentary classifications, he cannot detach it from its context. The Foundation which was originally established for the sake of creating an award for creativity in the field of poetry both as a creative work or as criticism. It developed and expanded, and now there is the Dictionary and the associated sessions that supersedes the task of establishing the award."

On Al Babtan's Contemporary Arab Poets Dictionary

"No doubt, Al-Babtain's Contemporary Arab Poets Dictionary is an undeniable great achievement.. Its great value is only denied by an arrogant person. The Dictionary is a gain for the Arabic culture. The content of its six volumes makes you proud of the gigantic efforts exerted by The Foundation of Abdul Aziz Saud Al-Babtain's Prize, which introduced a number of Arab contemporary poets who were never gathered in any other contemporary record. These poets are part of a comprehensive poetic movement which emerged during the late decades of the nineteenth century."

I wish you a continuous success and prosperity in your endeavours in the service of Arab Culture".

"Poetry is the Diwan of the Arabs", a phrase much observed by The Foundation of Abdulaziz A-Babtain who established his Foundation to celebrate and appreciate poetic creativity. But the importance of this initiative lies in its uniqueness despite the fact that all Arab countries established awards in all scientific literary and information fields. The greater meaning of the award lies in the status poetry has been occupying in the Arab history, heritage and dream. Great poets are in our memeory side by side with pioneering leaders and outstanding scholars".

You prepared very well for the meeting and bestowed on it the pleasure of the gathering, its loftiness, and generosity. Such a task stands in need for the nobel personalities like you, who through real feelings, realize the Arab need for their sense of belonging.Your efforts have been a hope killing the despair that infiltrated into the soul, and ascended with you as a paradigm of a creative writer who rebelled against a saying by The Dean of Arab literature Taha Husein, which says "Our wealthy poeple are abundant but they are much more miserable than the needy poor. The Foundation of Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain's Prize for Poetic Creativity is nearest to the factual meaning of the award when it develops culture clearly and tangibly. The Foundation efforts were not confined to awarding prizes only, but also to chronicling the Arab poets. It printed all the works of the poet Mahmoud Sami Al Baroudi and some selected works of his, as well as studies carried in his poetry. The same applies to Abul Qassem Al Shabi, Ahmed Mishari Al Odwani and Al Akhtal Al Saghir.
